Community Outreach & Awareness

Education & Prevention Programs
Understanding abuse and how it impacts individuals and families is key to stopping it before it happens. We provide educational programs to schools, businesses, faith communities, and civic organizations, covering topics such as:
- Recognizing the signs of domestic violence and sexual assault
- Healthy relationships and consent
- Supporting survivors without judgment
- Bystander intervention and community responsibility
- Trauma-informed care for service providers
Each program is tailored to meet the needs of different groups, whether it’s for a high school classroom, a workplace, or law enforcement training. We would love to partner with your organization if you would like to host a training.
Community Events & Engagement
Creating awareness starts with open conversations and community involvement. Throughout the year, we organize events to bring people together in support of survivors and to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence.
Annual Events & Awareness Campaigns
- Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October) – Community walks, vigils, and education campaigns
- Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April) – Outreach events, survivor-centered initiatives, and prevention programs
- Community Panel Discussions & Speaker Series – Featuring experts, survivors, and advocates to educate and inspire change
- Would you like to get involved? Check our events calendar or contact us to find out how.
Collaboration with Local Partners
We work closely with local schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and businesses to ensure survivors receive the support they need and that prevention efforts reach every corner of our community. Some of our community partnerships include:
- Training law enforcement on trauma-informed responses to domestic and sexual violence
- Working with healthcare providers to identify and support survivors in medical settings
- Collaborating with local businesses to provide job opportunities and financial empowerment for survivors
- Partnering with schools and youth programs to teach the next generation about healthy relationships and consent
- If your organization wants to explore a partnership, we always seek ways to strengthen our outreach.
