Swain Qualla Safe Domestic Violence Shelter

Our prevention initiatives are designed to educate, empower, and engage community members of all backgrounds. Through these programs, we equip individuals with the tools to recognize signs of abuse, understand healthy relationships, and support survivors effectively.

Our Prevention & Education Services include:

  • Community Workshops: Interactive sessions to educate groups, workplaces, and organizations about recognizing, preventing, and responding to domestic violence and sexual assault.
  • School & Youth Programs: Specialized education for young people, teaching healthy relationship skills, consent, respect, and empowerment to break cycles of abuse.
  • Public Awareness Campaigns: Initiatives to raise awareness and foster a community culture of zero tolerance toward violence.
  • Outreach and Training: Training sessions and materials for professionals, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, educators, and community leaders, to enhance their understanding and response to violence.
  • Collaboration & Partnerships: Building strong alliances with local organizations, businesses, and policymakers to support prevention strategies and create lasting change.

Together, through education, awareness, and collective action, we can build a community free from violence, where every individual feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.
